While most of the population of the world's internet users already can enjoy qualityinternet 4G, 5G, presence awaits even the apparently most others are still hoping to enjoy 3G services.
Off the 18 years since the release of the standard 3G internet, Palestinians in the West Bank recently could enjoy it on Tuesday (23/1/2018). This 3G internet service could finally be used after a 10-year dispute with the authority of Israel.
The West Bank is indeed still a disputed area Israel-Palestinian conflict that are currently under the control of the authority of Israel.
Two mobile operators, Jawwal and Wataniya Palestine began to open up the 3G network services to its customers. 4G connection will now be appearing on their device.
Ammar Aker who served as Chief Executive of Palestine Telecommunication Group, which owns his company Jawwal, claimed to have to wait for 10 years to obtain approval from the authority of Israel for the sake of being able to enjoy 3G services.
"We officially launched its 3G and promote it around Monday midnight. This is a strategic step which we have later on for more than 10 years, "said Aker as KompasTekno auto summary of Gadgets Now, Thursday (25/1/2018).
"We expect this could positively impact results for communications infrastructure and national economy," he added.
For now, the new 3G service is available to residents of the West Bank. Other regions that are still in the blockade of the Gaza Strip as Israel has not been able to enjoy this service.
